Modi Cabinet Gave A Gift To Farmers,Increased MSP Of Rabi Crops

Modi cabinet gave a gift to farmers, increased MSP of rabi crops, PM said- Jai Kisan. The government on Monday announced the support price of rabi crops in the Lok Sabha amidst the booming agrarian reform bills. The price of wheat has been increased by Rs 50 per quintal which will be Rs 1975 per quintal.

The announcement of MSP of rabi crops was usually done with the start of sowing, but this time the government has already announced this and has tried to thwart the opposition’s movement due to the furor over MSP in Parliament.

The draft MSP of Rabi season crops was approved in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar gave information in the Lok Sabha about the decision taken in the committee.

He informed us that the price of wheat has been increased by Rs 50 per quintal. At the same time, the price of barley has been increased from Rs 1525 to Rs 1600 per quintal.

The price of a gram in pulses crops has been increased by Rs 225 per quintal to Rs 5100. The MSP of lentils has been increased by Rs 300 per quintal, from Rs 4800 to Rs 5100 per quintal.

The MSP of mustard crops, the major rabi season, has been increased from Rs 4425 per quintal to Rs 4650. The price of safflower has been increased from Rs 5215 per quintal to Rs 5327.

The government’s decision comes amid protests on the streets in Punjab, Haryana, and some other isolated places following opposition from opposition parties in Parliament.

This will help clear the misconception of ending MSP being spread among farmers. The opposition parties created a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha on Monday over both the agricultural bills passed in Parliament on Sunday, causing the House to be adjourned for the entire day.

Informing the MSP, Agriculture Minister Tomar insisted that the confusion about the opposition support price and the mandi system would continue as before.

On the occasion of increasing the MSP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘It is a great privilege for us to work for the welfare of farmers. In line with our priorities to work in the interest of food providers, the Cabinet has taken another historic decision to increase MSP. Crores of farmers will be benefited from this.

While more MSP will empower the farmers, it will also help in doubling their income. The increased MSP with the approval of Parliament for agricultural reforms will ensure the dignity and prosperity of the donors. Hail farmer!

The Agriculture Minister tweeted that the support price of wheat has been increased by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 1975. However, there were already indications that the government may increase the support price for rabi crops.

On this occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that in the last 6 years, there has been a steady increase in the MSP under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. This should clear up the misconceptions about MSPs.

I believe that the decisions taken under the leadership of Modi Ji in the interest of farmers have been milestones in terms of agriculture and farmer welfare.

Today, the decision of the Cabinet under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to increase the MSP of many rabi crops is a reflection of their commitment to the protection of the interests of farmers.

This increase is in line with the spirit of the Swaminathan Commission.

In fact, the Modi government has set a target of doubling farmers’ income by 2022. The government is now moving in the same direction. In such a situation, it is believed that in the cabinet meeting, the MSP of the Rabi crop is going to increase.
