MS Dhoni Is The Most Influential Captain: Faf du Plessis

MS Dhoni is the most influential captain, claims the legend of South Africa.

South African batsman and former captain Faf du Plessis is all set to captain the St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the West Indies.

CPL has started on Thursday. After CPL, Faf du Plessis will be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings ie CSK in the second leg of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Earlier, he has praised his team’s captain MS Dhoni and called him the most influential captain.

Faf du Plessis suffered a head injury during the Pakistan Super League, from which he has now fully recovered, but he has not found a place in the South African team.

However, they can find a place in the team based on the performance of the CPL ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021.

At the same time, talking about the first half of IPL 2021, the season was great for him, in which the 38-year-old batsman scored 320 runs for Chennai Super Kings.

Faf du Plessis batted well in the top order along with Rituraj Gaikwad.

Faf du Plessis said in a virtual press conference before the start of the CPL, “We have played good cricket; hopefully, the form will continue.

I had a strong first half, and I hope to pick up where I left off (in India). I will continue from there. We are a better-balanced team than last season.”

The right-handed batsman further said that the selection process at CSK has been excellent and this is the main reason why CSK as a team has been successful over the years.

He also feels that MS Dhoni is the biggest factor for players to perform well.

He further added, CSK has always had a strong side on the cricket field. They were always on the lookout for good leaders.

At one point, they had four international captains playing for CSK. They took on a lot of smart cricketers.

Trust me, and combining it with the experience of playing under MS Dhoni’s captaincy is the biggest factor. He is probably the most influential captain in the game.
