Myanmar political crisis: Myanmar maintains military rule, declares emergency for one year, inherits Aung San Suu Kyi.

Myanmar’s Suu Kyi detained by the army: The army has declared a one-year state of emergency in Myanmar amid fears of a military coup.

Earlier, the Myanmar army has detained the country’s real leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

A spokesman for Soo Kiang San’s National League for Democracy (NLD), Myo Nyunt, said on Monday that Myanmar’s military has detained Aung San Suu Kyi, the de facto leader of the country.

Spokeswoman Mayo Nyunt said Suu Kyi and President Vin Myint had been placed under house arrest in the capital, Rapido.

She said that it is clear from the situation in the country that the army is doing a coup. India has a keen eye on Myanmar’s political crisis. Although India has not responded to this, it has monitored the incident.

Myanmar army clarifies

The Myanmar military on Saturday denied that its army chief had threatened a coup after complaints of fraud in the election. Sena said that the media has misinterpreted his point.

Significantly, there were tensions in Myanmar last week when an army spokesperson said that his apprehension of a coup could not be ruled out if his complaints of mass fraud were not addressed in November.

Army chief threatened to cancel constitution

Let me tell you that the Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar, Senior General Mil Aung Laing, in a conversation with senior officials on Wednesday, said that ‘the law can be canceled if the law is not implemented properly in the country’.

After his statement, the politics in Myanmar was heated. The apprehension about the coup became stronger when armored vehicles were deployed on the roads in many big cities.

However, after this, the army said that some organizations and media have said without any basis that the army has threatened to cancel the constitution.

Myanmar political crisis: UN expressed concern over the statement of the Myanmar army

Two days ago the governments of the United Nations and Western countries expressed concern over the warning given by the Myanmar military about the possibility of a coup in the country.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that he was deeply concerned about the developments in Myanmar. The army has threatened to take action if its complaints are not redressed.

However, the National Election Commission of Myanmar has denied allegations by the military of fraud in elections.

Let us know that Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy won a spectacular victory in the parliamentary elections held in Myanmar on 8 November.

Suu’s party won 396 out of 476 seats, while the military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party won only 33 seats.
