Naomi Osaka Was Out Of French Open Tennis Tournament

Naomi Osaka was out in the first round of the French Open tennis tournament and doubts about playing at Wimbledon.

Japan’s Naomi Osaka says she is not certain about playing at Wimbledon this year as sporting officials have removed the ranking points for the tournament, lowering her morale to play in it.

The ATP and WTA took away Wimbledon ranking points last week due to sanctions on players from Russia and Belarus.

Osaka said, ‘All I want to say is that such decisions affect. I mentally want to play on the grass-court but I can’t say 100 percent sure that I will go there.

Japan’s player lost to Amanda Anisimova in the opening round.

Paris, Reuters. Japan’s Naomi Osaka was knocked out at the hands of Amanda Anisimova of America in the first round of the second Grand Slam French Open tennis tournament of the year on Monday.

27th seed Anisimova defeated four-time Grand Slam winner Osaka 7-5, 6-4 in a match that lasted one hour and 30 minutes to reach the second round. Osaka looked uncomfortable throughout the match.

Osaka dramatically pulled out of the clay-court tournament last year citing mental health issues, and this time her journey ended in the first round.

Earlier, Anisimova took a 3-1 lead in the first set but Osaka leveled the score 3-3 after the American made a backhand mistake.

Due to a double fault in the 11th game, Anisimova took a 6-5 lead and then won the set.

In the second set, Anisimova took a 4-3 lead and then won the match as she claimed the set, giving Osaka no chance to return.

Swiatek easily in the second round: In women’s world number one, Poland’s Inga Swiatek defeated qualifier Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine 6-2, 6-0 in the second round easily.

In this way, Sviatec has extended its winning campaign to 29 matches. Sviatec has won their last five tournaments before coming to Paris and had no problem reaching the second round here.

Krejkikova became the victim of the upset: Second-ranked Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejkikova was the victim of an upset in the first round and was defeated by 97th-ranked Diane Perry 1-6, 6-2, 6-3.

In other matches, Bianca Andreescu defeated Belgian qualifier Yeselin Bonaventure 3-6, 7-5, 6-0.

Alcaraz in the second round: In the men’s section, young Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz started his campaign with a win over Argentina’s Juan Ignacio Lowndero 6-4, 6-2, 6-0 to enter the second round.
