The ‘Jimex’ series of exercises began in January 2012 with the aim of increasing naval security cooperation. A previous version of this was organized on the Visakhapatnam coast in October 2018.

Nousena spokesperson said that in the current practice, India-made indigenous Stealth Destroyer ‘Chennai’, TAG class Stealth Frigate ‘Tarkash’ and Fleet Tanker ‘Deepak’ Participated.

While the Japanese Navy participated in the Ijumo Class Helicopter Destroyer ‘Kaga’ and Guided Missile Destroyer ‘Ikajuchi’. Apart from these, patrol aircraft, helicopters and warplanes also participated in the exercise.

It may be known that the Navies of India and Australia had conducted exercises in the Indian Ocean region this week. Whereas in July, the Indian Navy conducted maneuvers with the US.

Explain that in the wake of the border dispute with China, India has increased its deployment in the Indian Ocean region and has deployed several warships and submarines there.
