Naxals set ablaze vehicles, machines at a street building site at revolt hit Sukma Area of Chhattisgarh. The episode occurred on Wednesday night at Dhanikorta town under Kukanar police station limits where a street is being built, Sukma Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha said.

A gathering of Naxals set ablaze six vehicles and machines occupied with street development work in the insurrection hit Sukma region of Chhattisgarh, police said on Thursday. The occurrence occurred on Wednesday night at Dhanikorta town under Kukanar police station limits where a street is being built, Sukma Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha said.

According to fundamental data, a gathering of ultras arrived at the town, situated around 450 km from the capital Raipur, and set burning three trucks, two JCBs and a poclain machine left there, he said. All the vehicles and machines had a place with a temporary worker, he said.

In spite of being encouraged to leave the vehicles and machines at a police camp close to the building site subsequent to finishing work for the afternoon, the temporary worker left them at the town, the authority said. Not long after being alarmed about the episode, security forces hurried to the spot on Thursday morning and propelled a pursuit activity in the region, he included.

Naxals have much of the time attempted to disturb street development works in the state’s Bastar division, involving seven locales including Sukma, by propelling assaults on security forces and damaging vehicles and machines utilized in those activities.
