New Trouble Has Arisen In The South For The Congress

New Trouble Has Arisen In The South For The Congress: Puducherry crisis. Congress’s stronghold Puducherry is also seen slipping out of hand.

Puducherry crisis, the Puducherry government of the Union Territory has been under a cloud. With the resignation of four Congress MLAs, it has come into a minority.

New trouble has arisen in the south for the Congress, which is continuously losing the base. In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the continuous resignation of Congress MLAs has created a crisis.

On Tuesday, the Congress was stunned by the resignation of MLA A John Kumar. As soon as the government is in the minority, the opposition has demanded resignation from the Congress government.

All this happened a day before the visit of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. In such a situation, it is bound to shock Congress.

In the composition of the Puducherry Assembly, five parties are mainly active here. A small Puducherry Assembly of 33 seats is elected by 30 MLAs. Three members are non-elected. Of this, only 23 seats are in Puducherry.

It has been considered a stronghold of Congress since the beginning, but this time it is clearly seen to break.

The Congress formed the government by winning 15 seats with three and one independent members of the DMK. But after the resignation, there are now 10 members of Congress.

How will the government solve the crisis

Meanwhile, Kiran Bedi, who was the Lt. Governor of Puducherry, who has been continuously questioning the functioning of the government, was removed.

Congress was constantly demanding to remove them. He alleged that Bedi was not allowing development works. The demand of Congress legislators was met but the government came in a minority.

BJP benefits

The BJP is expected to benefit from the crisis in Puducherry in the next elections. In the last four years, the BJP has established a coalition and control over the ruling coalition here.

The example of two Congress MLAs joining the BJP is an example of this. BJP may not have benefited directly from the activities of Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, but the Congress has benefited from the loss.

Puducherry has seven seats connected to Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh.

Politics

The political equations here are more on an individual basis. Community and caste factors do not matter.

The majority of the population of Puducherry speaks Tamil. Many policies, schemes, and areas such as education are affected by Tamil Nadu.

These MLAs resign

Congress Malladi Krishna Rao, Navichivam, Thipindan, and John Kumar have resigned, citing dissatisfaction.
