NIA Tightens Its Grip, Two More Arrested: Jammu Kashmir

NIA tightens its grip, two more were arrested in the terrorist violence case: Jammu Kashmir.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained two more people in connection with the terror violence.

The NIA has made these arrests from Srinagar and Sopore in North Kashmir. With this, so far the NIA has taken 25 people into custody in this case.

According to information received from NIA sources, Ishfaq Ahmed Wani, a resident of Srinagar, and Umar Bhat, a resident of Sopore, have been taken into custody on charges of violence in J&K and other cities of the country.

The NIA had registered the case on October 10 in New Delhi.

The case has been registered on charges of violence in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country by terrorists of LeT, JeM, HM, Al Badr, and TRF, and People Against Fascist Forces.

Two days ago on Friday, the NIA had raided eight locations in Kashmir and questioned eight people, but the NIA later confirmed that only two people were detained.

NIA tightens its grip: Now two more people have also been confirmed to be detained.

The NIA has found in its preliminary investigation that all the accused are overground workers and helpers of these terrorist organizations.

They help terrorists with ammunition and other things. Earlier on Wednesday also, the NIA had raided 17 places in seven districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

These include the Kulgam district of South Kashmir, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Anantnag, Srinagar, Kishtwar of Jammu division, and Jammu district.

The NIA had received information that people are involved in terrorist activities at many places in the Valley.

It was only after this that the NIA raided and so far 25 terrorists, overground workers, and helpers have been detained.

Some of these include terrorists who recently carried out the killings of Kashmiri Pandits and migrant citizens. NIA may take many more people into custody in the coming days.
