No Chinese village settled on India’s border: CDS General Bipin Rawat said.
Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat has clarified that people from other countries have not settled within the Indian border.
He said that we know where is our border. We have taken good care of our borders. We have not allowed anyone to settle here.
On Chinese incursion in Barahoti of Uttarakhand, he said that China comes as far as it understands its border.
No Chinese village settled on India’s border: Its report also comes out. Our army also goes as far as it considers its border in Barahoti. However, no report of this comes out.
CDS General Rawat had arrived on Tuesday to participate in the self-help program organized at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the foundation day of Uttarakhand.
On the question asked by the media in informal about the settlement of Chinese villages within the Indian border in Arunachal Pradesh, he said that does America know how far is India’s border.
Does China know where India’s border is? We know where our border is. We have not allowed anyone to settle on our border.
On the possibilities of opening new recruitment centers in the state, he clarified that already five recruitment centers are open here.
Of these, four are in the mountainous regions and one in the plains. He said that recruitment centers have been set up in hilly areas to stop migration from hilly areas.
General Rawat also expressed concern over the migration to the frontier areas. He said that migration can be stopped by strengthening education and health facilities in the hilly areas.
He also stressed the need to open Helipads and Advance Landing Pads in hilly areas saying that this would not only help the residents of hilly areas in case of emergency but also the influx of tourists.
A special focus has to be given to this. Greeting the people of the state on the foundation day, he said that progress and development are taking place in the state.
