OIC Does Not Mention Jammu And Kashmir In Their Agenda

OIC does not mention Jammu and Kashmir in their agenda, Islamic countries show the mirror to Pakistan.

No matter how many chests Pakistan has beaten on Kashmir, it is now being shown as a mirror from the Islamic countries.

On the one hand, Pakistan’s relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia are steadily deteriorating, on the other hand, its grip on the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) is also getting loosened.

The biggest example of this is the agenda of the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in the African country of Niger starting on Thursday.

There is no mention of Kashmir in the agenda issued by the OIC. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is arriving with a heavy party to take part in this meeting.

The press release issued by the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan on Wednesday said that in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers under the OIC.

On issues such as Islamophobia, Palestine, Jammu, and Kashmir dispute, the situation of Muslims in non-Islamic countries There will be the discussion.

While the OIC Secretariat has released the agenda for the upcoming meeting, there is no mention of Kashmir.

Whereas, issues including Palestine, struggle against violence, extremism, and terrorism have been included which has been mentioned by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry in its press release.

It is noteworthy here that Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar is currently on a visit to Bahrain and the UAE, two important countries of the OIC.

This is not the first time that Pakistan has had to face Kashmir in the OIC.

Former Pakistan Minister Sushma Swaraj attended the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the OIC held in Abu Dhabi in March 2019 as a guest, despite the very strict objections of Pakistan.

It is considered a major victory of Indian diplomacy as India was not called up to the OIC due to the very strict objections of Pakistan till now.

At the same time, very strong statements were also issued by the OIC on Kashmir many times.

The Government of India has strengthened its relationships with many important members of the OIC such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman in the last four-five years.

One reason is that Pakistan along with Turkey and Malaysia is trying to form a separate organization of Islamic countries.

This thing is not acceptable to Saudi Arabia and some other countries. Recently, the UAE has announced a ban on visas to citizens of 13 countries, including Pakistan, Iran, and Iraq.

These include Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria, Somalia, Libya, Yemen, Algeria, Kenya, Lebanon, and Tunisia. Tensions continue to grow between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on a range of issues.
