One ITBP jawan martyred, 1 injured in an encounter with Naxalites near Amdai Valley. Naxalites attacked near Amdai Ghati of Chhote Dongar police station area in Narayanpur.
Giving information about the incident, Bastar IG P Sundarraj said that in an encounter with Naxalites, an ITBP constable Shiv Kumar Meena was martyred and a jawan was seriously injured.

According to the information received, it has been told that on Tuesday morning, 45 ITBP battalion personnel had left for the search operation from the Amdai Ghati camp.
Under this search operation, as soon as they reached the turn leading to Dongar Hills at around 10:00, the dreaded Naxalites suddenly started firing on the ITBP personnel.
In this encounter that lasted for almost hours, the ITBP personnel, giving a befitting reply to the Naxalites, took the front and fired fiercely.

After this aggressive attack by Naxalites, it is being told that Narayanpur MLA Chandan Kashyap was to go on a tour in the Narayanpur area today (Tuesday) for which a road opening party was set up for security.
Keeping this security in mind, ITBP personnel went out on a search, which was attacked by Naxalites.
