It is worth mentioning that on April 22, 25 tourists and a local horseman were killed in a terrorist attack in Baisaran, located six kilometers away from Pahalgam. After the attack, the terrorists fled from there, and the security agencies claimed that five terrorists were involved in the attack, of which two were local and three were foreign terrorists.

Apart from this, the investigating agency did not get any other clues about the terrorists. It was only after the Baisaran attack that India carried out Operation Sindoor to destroy terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. The spokesperson of NIE, which is investigating the Baisaran massacre, said that based on the investigation of every aspect related to this case, two overground workers of the terrorists have been arrested. Their names are Parvez Ahmed Jothad, a resident of Batkot, Pahalgam, and Bashir Ahmed Jothad, a resident of Hillpark, Pahalgam.

Before the Baisaran Pahalgam massacre, both of them had lodged three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba in one of their dhoks near Hillpark. Both of them had also provided ration, water, and other equipment to the terrorists. Till some time before the attack, all three foreign terrorists were hiding in the dhok supplied by them.

After the attack, the terrorists went to another hideout. There is a distance of about one and a half kilometers between Hillpark Hill and Baisaran. The spokesperson said that the interrogation of the two overground workers caught is going on. It is also being investigated whether they had ever worked for terrorists in the past or have they been involved in any terrorist activity for the first time.

The spokesperson said that both are being questioned.

A large number of these included former terrorists and their old overground workers.

He said that the arrest of these two overground workers is the biggest success in this case so far.
