The Parsaura area in the  Rasulabad district is neglected in terms of development and tourism, but historically this area is of great importance.

You will be surprised to know that this region is considered to be the birthplace of Lord Parashurama. Parsaura village is named after Lord Parshuram.

At the same time there is also the Jamtarkheda area in the name of his father Jamadagni, where the temple built also has a statue of Lord Parshuram and his father. Here people come to bow down with great faith.

This ashram of sage Jamadagni is recorded in the revenue records as Jamtarkheda. The villagers call it Jamtarakheda as the abrasion of Jamadagni Ashram.

Parshuram Jayanti 2021: The worship of Shivling installed in the Shiva temple at the Jamadagni Rishi Ashram is of great importance.

It is said that Banasura, a contemporary of Lord Parshuram, received three Shiva lingams in the form of Prasad from Shiva and brought him to install on earth.

Lord Shiva gave him the Shiva lingam on the condition that it should be placed on the earth where it is to be installed. If you place them on the earth in the middle then it will be established there itself.

When he gave the Shivling to Kishore Parshuram, playing near the ashram of the Jamadagni sage, he got it set up here, glad to be taken to the Shivling. The second Shivalinga is enshrined in the Mahakaleshwar temple of Kahinjari.

This is how the statue of Parashurama was established: According to legends, God was born here. Located a short distance from Parsaura village is the ashram of his father Jamadagni Rishi.

Parasurama’s mother Renuka gave birth to him in Parsaura. Raj Narayan Dixit, a resident of Parsaura, says that his father, the late Moujilal Dixit, had received instructions in his dream that Lord Parshuram was born here.

Therefore, get the temple constructed here. Then he built the temple and installed the idol of Parashurama. Since then, on the Akshaya Tritiya, the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram is celebrated with pomp here.

Soon Jamadagni Rishi’s ashram will be beautified: With no way to reach this extremely backward village, Late MP Shyam Bihari Mishra had built a paved cemented road to reach the ashram and demanded to be developed as a tourist destination.

At present, BJP MLA Nirmala Sankhwar has also sanctioned an amount of 50 lakh for the beautification of Jamtarakheda, the ashram of Jamsadgni Rishi, father of Parshuram, from which it will be developed.
