India stands with France in the fight against terrorism.

India on Wednesday strongly condemned personal attacks on French President Emmanuel Macron over the stance of Islamic extremism, calling it a violation of the most basic standards of international discourse.

The Foreign Ministry, in a strongly-worded statement, also condemned the barbaric terrorist attack, in which a French teacher was beheaded and murdered.

“We strongly condemn the brutal killing of a French teacher in a barbaric terrorist attack which shocked the whole world,” the ministry said in a statement.

We express condolences to his family and the people of France. France is also getting tremendous support in the Indian Internet media.

Following the State Department’s statement, French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenin tweeted and thanked India and said that both countries can cooperate with each other in the war against terrorism.

A teacher was also murdered

The attack in the church of Nice city comes at a time when France was still murdered by a man of Chechen origin earlier this month of French Middle College teacher Samuel Patty.

So far 16 people have been arrested in the case of Patty’s murder. There are also those on the police radar who campaigned against Patty on social media.

These people had considered it wrong to show cartoons of Prophet Muhammad while Patty taught freedom of expression.
