Preet Singh Got Bail In Provocative Sloganeering Case

Preet Singh got bail in the provocative sloganeering case at Jantar Mantar, the High Court gave relief.

The Delhi High Court has granted bail to Preet Singh in the alleged provocative sloganeering case near Jantar Mantar. Preet Singh is one of the organizers of the event organized at Jantar Mantar.

Preet Singh gave this relief while hearing the bail petition.

In his petition filed through advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, Preet Singh claimed that he was not involved in making any inflammatory speech or raising any slogan against any person or community.

He insisted that the demand for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra did not define Section 153A (hate speech) of the IPC and he was not even present at the site when the slogans were raised.

After his arrest, Preet Singh was sent to judicial custody on August 10.

He is accused of creating hatred between different groups at a rally at Jantar Mantar on August 8 and inciting youth to preach against a particular religion.

Google reached the High Court after the confidential report was leaked.

At the same time, Google has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the leak of information in the media related to the ongoing investigation by CCI in Google’s Android smartphone agreements case.

The Delhi High Court has agreed to hear the petition and a bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh will hear the matter on Friday.

Google said that on September 18, 2021, a confidential report submitted to the CCI by the office of the Branch Director General of the CCI relating to the investigation into its Android smartphone agreements was leaked to the media.

Whereas, Google has not yet received or reviewed this confidential report. Google said that we fully cooperated with the investigation process and maintained confidentiality.

Fight between prisoners in Tihar, police registered a case

Incidents of assault in Tihar Jail are not taking the name of stopping.

In the women’s jail located in the Tihar complex, on Wednesday morning, the matter of assault between the prisoner and the jail worker was not even resolved that in the afternoon, two prisoners clashed inside jail number eight.

Before the matter escalated, both the prisoners were brought under control. The prisoner who suffered injuries was first sent to the jail hospital and then to the DDU hospital for treatment.

The Harinagar police station has registered a case on the statement of the injured prisoner and started investigating the incident. According to the police, the investigation of the case is going on.
