Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated that his aim is to take complete control of the Donbas, a separatist region in eastern Ukraine.

Kyiv has accused Moscow of playing a bloody game in Ukraine, committing war crimes. While Putin claims that his aim is simply to free the Donbass from Ukrainian nationalists.

Putin declared Luhansk and Donetsk independent countries after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine in February, facing opposition from all over the world.

Earlier also, Blinken had condemned Russia’s “pre-planned, unprovoked, unfair and brutal war” on Ukraine, saying the US would continue to provide Ukraine with weapons for its defense.
