Rajnath clearly stated that PLA tried to change the status quo. Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh bluntly said Chinese soldiers on LAC try to change the status quo. After the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Moscow, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chinese Defence Minister General Wei Fenghe on Friday stressed India-China relations along with the ongoing tension on the Indo-China border.
In an open and in-depth discussion about this, the Defence Minister’s Office issued a statement saying that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told China in clear terms that the only cause of tension in East Ladakh is the aggressive attitude of Chinese troops.
If this continues, India is ready to go to any extent to protect its sovereignty. The actions of Chinese troops, the large gathering at the border, their aggressive behavior, and attempts to unilaterally change the status quo are violations of bilateral agreements.
China should not be confused about our intention
Information given on Twitter regarding the talks between the defense ministers of India and China said that India is and will continue to play responsibility towards border management, but will never compromise its sovereignty and integrity. The Defense Minister said that the attitude of Indian troops towards border management has always been responsible.
But there should be no doubt about our commitment to protect India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Defence Minister gave the message that India and China should continue their discussions through diplomatic and military channels on LAC for complete restoration of peace. This would ensure the complete withdrawal of troops from the border.
Rajnath Singh at SCO said that India condemns terrorism in all its forms and its supporters. Without naming China, Rajnath Singh said that for a peaceful, stable, and secure SCO region, it is necessary for members to show non-aggression against each other. Apart from India and Russia, the Defense Minister of China is also participating in this meeting.
Clear Message To China
It is important for Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to attend this important meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) amid reports of fresh clashes in Ladakh. Rajnath Singh said that India is in favor of a peaceful resolution of international laws and differences for peace and stability in the SCO region. A peaceful, stable and secure SCO sector requires that members have confidence in each other …. as well as sensitivity and non-aggression. The Defence Minister clearly stated that aggression is not good for regional peace.
