Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu on the occasion of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ today and will attend the commemoration ceremony.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu today on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. They will also participate in the commemoration ceremony.

Rajnath Singh will also address a gathering at Gulshan ground near Jammu University, where RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale will also be present.

Rajnath Singh himself gave this information by tweeting. “On July 24, I will go to Jammu to attend an event to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’. I am looking forward to it.

The families of 2000 martyrs will be honored.

In this program to be held on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, about 2000 such families of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be honored by Rajnath Singh.

The brave soldiers of these families have given martyrdom for the country.

After this, Rajnath will also hold a meeting with the military commanders based in Jammu and take stock of the security preparedness.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is the day of victory over Pakistan.

The Indian Army has also geared up for the 23rd Kargil Vijay Diwas commemoration to be held at the Kargil War Memorial.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on 26 July to commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999.

Meanwhile, preparations are also underway at the Kargil War Memorial for the three-day event.

Several events will be held in the area, which will be attended by dignitaries from the army and civil administration as well as gallantry award winners and their families.

Earlier on Friday, the Kargil Vijay Diwas motorcycle rally, which was flagged off from the National War Memorial in Delhi, reached Srinagar.

The soldiers aboard paid floral tributes at the Chinar War Memorial at Badami Bagh Cantonment here and paid homage to the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice.

The rally was flagged off by Vice Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen BS Raju on July 18 from the National War Memorial in New Delhi to commemorate the saga of valor and sacrifice of the brave soldiers of the Indian Army in the Kargil War.

The rally will cover two routes Delhi-Srinagar-Zojila-Kargil-Drass and Delhi-Chandigarh-Rohtang-Leh-Drass.
