Prime Minister Kisan National Award: Selection of Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh For the honor.

Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh has been selected for the Prime Minister Kisan National Award.

Under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi this award will be given to the district for completing 99.6 percent physical verification of beneficiaries.

Chandrudu will be given the award at an event held in New Delhi on 24 February.

Five percent of beneficiaries were selected randomly for physical verification to determine eligibility and genuineness on the instructions of the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

The district has a total of 5,76,972 beneficiaries, out of which 28,269 were selected for physical verification in all 63 mandals. According to the physical verification report, 235 people were found unfit for the scheme after verification.

The Center launched the Income Support Scheme for the farmers in 2018-19. According to the report, in 2020-21, an amount of Rs. 205.43 crore was disbursed to 5,76,972 beneficiaries.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Srivani gives birth to a daughter

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pamula Pushpa Srivani has given birth to a daughter in a hospital here. She is the first Deputy Chief Minister who became a mother while in office.

Srivani, 34, is a minister in the tribal welfare department in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government. She was congratulated by the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues and YSR Congress Party leaders.

First-time mother Srivani is one of the youngest Deputy Chief Ministers in the country. Her husband Shatucharla is Parikshit Raju.

Jagan Mohan Reddy elected Srivani as one of the five Deputy Chief Ministers after the YSRCP came to power in 2019. She is the youngest minister in the Jagan cabinet.
