Rajouri Encounter: Terrorist attack on Rajouri military camp, three soldiers sacrificed, two terrorists killed, search operation underway.
Militants suddenly attacked an army camp located in the Pargal area of the Darhal sector adjacent to the Line of Control in district Rajouri late at the night.
In this attack, three army personnel were sacrificed while two others were injured. Both the terrorists involved in the suicide attack were killed in retaliatory firing by the army.
Anticipating the presence of more terrorists in the area, Army and SOG personnel have launched a search operation in the vicinity of the camp.
A JCO is also included in the three military personnel who have received Veergati. The injured include Major. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.
After this attack, an alert has been issued in the areas adjoining the Line of Control in district Poonch. Information has been received from security agencies that terrorists may carry out more such attacks.
Confirming the terrorist attack on the army camp, ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said that indiscriminate firing started on the soldiers as soon as they entered the border of the army camp located in the Pargal area of Darhal sector, 25 km from district Rajouri.
5 jawans were seriously injured in this attack. While evacuating the injured jawans safely from the encounter site, other jawans started retaliatory firing on the terrorists.
Both the terrorists were gunned down there.
Meanwhile, the injured jawans were rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared three soldiers martyrs while two other injured jawans are undergoing treatment.
Security forces say that it was a suicide attack by terrorists. More terrorists may also be present in the area.
Due to this apprehension, the army and SOG personnel have started a search operation in the vicinity of the army camp.
The terrorists killed are from Jammu and Kashmir or Pakistan are being traced. Alert has also been issued in the areas around the Line of Control and patrolling has also been increased.
Let us tell you that this is the second encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir within the last twenty-four hours.
Earlier, the security forces had killed three terrorists, including TRF commander Latif Rather, in Budgam.
Two other terrorists killed along with Latif are said to be Pakistani. Security agencies said that terrorist organizations are planning a major terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir on Independence Day.
Latif Rather was a reward of seven lakhs: ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that Latif Rather and his two associates were entrusted with the task of target killing in Kashmir.
TRF Commander Latif Rather, the mastermind behind the murder of Kashmiri Hindu Rahul Bhatt, Scheduled Caste teacher Rajni Bala and TV actor Amrin Butt, was active in terror activities for nearly 10 years and carried a reward of Rs 7 lakh.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the encounter site.
Latif was caught for the first time in 2001: Latif of Vadipora Chadoora in Budgam was an old terrorist. He was first caught in the year 2001 for his involvement in terrorist activities.
After being in jail for some time, when he was released, he started working as an overground worker for the terrorists.
He along with Pakistani terrorist commander Abu Qasim attacked the military convoy in Hyderpora on 24 June 2013. Eight army personnel were martyred in this.
He was also involved in the conspiracy to attack the police party in Chadoora Bazar in December 2013. A few days before this attack, he was released from jail on bail.
He again joined the Lashkar. A few months later he was caught in Srinagar. As soon as he was released on bail in November 2021, he again started working for terrorist organizations.
That Latif came in the eyes of the security forces due to the increasing activities of Lashkar and TRF in Srinagar. In February, he went missing from his sister’s house in Sadarbal Srinagar.
Latif was given the responsibility of killing non-Kashmiris: When Latif again joined Lashkar in February 2022, he was made operational commander of The Resistance Front (TRF).
Latif was responsible for the murder of Kashmiri Hindus and other minorities and workers who came from different states to earn their livelihood.
He was in contact with Lashkar commander Sajid sitting in Pakistan and terrorist Sajjad Gul, who fled from Kashmir. He created a new cadre of TRF in Srinagar, Budgam, and Pulwama.
It was Latif who got the Kashmiri Hindu Rahul Bhatt killed in Chadoora in May. After this Hashru was also involved in the murder of TV and Tiktok artist Amrin Butt in Budgam.
In the past, he was also the mastermind of the attack on brick kiln workers in Budgam. The murder of Jammu teacher Rajni Bala in Kulgam was also done by terrorist Basit at his behest.
