Reward Of Rs 10 Lakh Each Has Been Announced On Three Terrorists. Rs 10 lakh reward on three terrorists of Sopore attack.
A reward of Rs 10 lakh each has been announced for three terrorists involved in Saturday’s attack on a police team in North Kashmir’s Sopore.
Posters of the trio have been put up in different parts of Sopore. All three are local terrorists and are associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. The police have assured to keep the name of the informer of the terrorists secret.
On Saturday, terrorists attacked a police gypsy in Sopore, a short distance from the police station. Two policemen Waseem Ahmed Butt and Shaukat Ahmed Parre were martyred in this attack.
Two civilians were also killed in the attack. The terrorists used steel bullets in the attack. The police had identified the terrorists involved in the attack on the very first day and their hideouts are being continuously raided.
Three of the attacking terrorists are local and their names are Khurshid Ahmad Mir, Mudassar Pandit, and Fayaz Ahmed War alias Firdous War.
While releasing the posters of the three local terrorists, the police have announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for the person who caught them or gave concrete news about them.
Khurshid Ahmed and Mudassar are less than a year old terrorists. Fayaz has been active in Lashkar for almost two years.
If sources are to be believed, a foreign terrorist has led the attack. Mudassar, along with this foreign terrorist, had attacked the meeting of the members of the Sopore Municipal Committee in the last week of April last.
Two councilors and a policeman were martyred in this attack. Sources said that about a dozen terrorists are active in Sopore and its adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, North Kashmir Range DIG Sujit Kumar also visited Sopore.
He also took stock of the prevailing situation of security arrangements and counter-terrorist operations in a meeting with police officials in Sopore. He also discussed the situation arising out of the terrorist attack on Saturday.
