Ration cards made for vote bank: According to sources, the Rohingyas were protected by the Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party. Some Congress leaders tried to make it a vote bank.

PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had said in the Assembly on 11 January 2017 that Rohingyas would not be taken out of Jammu and Kashmir under international law.
Where they are settled, they will be allowed to remain the same. Not only this, on 14 February 2018, Mehbooba passed an order that the nomadic Gujjar Bakkarwal settled in Jammu and Kashmir should not be evacuated.
After this order, the trust of Rohingyas also increased towards the previous governments.
However, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh had said that under the citizenship-related law passed by the Center, Rohingyas will be shown the way out.
If not, it will be late: Ekjut Party leader and Senior Advocate Ankur Sharma said that under the conspiracy, the demographic profile of Jammu is being changed.
If it is not possible then it will be late. At the same time, Principal of Jammu State Morcha Professor Virendra Gupta also said that the political circles surrounded the land in Jammu under the conspiracy and then settled the Rohingya around it.
