Russian Deputy Ambassador to India said – Defense cooperation is on mutual trust, no doubt on Indian friends.

The relationship between India and Russia is quite old and on occasion, the result of this strong relationship has also been seen.

Now once again speaking on the relationship between the two countries, Russian Deputy Ambassador to India Roman Babushkin said that Russia-India relations are moving forward with great confidence.

He said, ‘Russia’s defense cooperation with India is above any restriction. Russia-India relations are moving forward with great confidence.

We are closely watching India’s relations with America and other countries.

Babushkin said, “India’s relations with other countries will not affect Russian interests.” There is no doubt about the credibility of Indian friends.

Babushkin, deputy head of the Russian Embassy in India, said on the export of BrahMos to Southeast Asia, ‘We are talking about cooperation with third world countries.

More consultation is required and it will take time. We are negotiating not only with South East Asian countries but also with countries like the Philippines. ‘

He said that we do not have any special reservation but we should keep all the nuances in mind.

Defense cooperation takes place in strategic partnership and mutual trust. At the same time, he also spoke on bilateral issues raised at SCO.

Babushkin said, ‘We told all the members that this should be avoided for the progress of multilateral forums. SCO is meant to solve global, multilateral, financial issues. We hope that such incidents do not happen.

On the Kashmir issue too, Roman Babushkin gave full support to India on behalf of Russia.

Babushkin had said, We are fully supporting the way India is trying to resolve the Kashmir issue, but also ready to meet every defense need of India.

At the same time, Russia will start supplying S-400 to India by the end of 2021. India signed an agreement to purchase five S-400 systems from Russia in October 2018 despite US opposition.
