Sacrifice Memorial To Be Built For Martyred Kashmiri Pandits

Sacrifice memorial to be built in memory of Kashmiri Pandits martyred in terrorist attacks: Kashmiri Pandits.

In the memory of Kashmiri Pandits killed in terrorist attacks in Kashmir in the last three decades, the process of building a big sacrifice memorial on the banks of the Jammu Tawi river has started.

This memorial will be the biggest monument to be built by the society in the state.

The names of all those Kashmiri Pandits who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks will be written on this memorial to be built in the memory of Kashmiri Pandit martyrs.

The construction work has started with Mata Bhadrakali Trust laying the foundation stone to build a sacrifice memorial in the Bhalwal area on the banks of the Tawi river in Thalwal, Jammu.

Only a museum and library will be built in the three acres of land taken for the sacrifice memorial.

In this, old religious texts, books, paintings, and other heritage-related items of Kashmiri Pandits will also be saved.

The head of the trust, Dilip Pandita, while talking to reporters after not laying the foundation stone, said that along with the Kashmiri Pandits killed in the terrorist attacks in Kashmir in the year 1990.

This memorial will also have the names of those Kashmiri Pandit martyrs who have fought in India after 1947. He sacrificed his life in the war of Pakistan.

On the other hand, former BJP MLC Ajay Bharti, who was present in the foundation stone laying program, said that the memorial to be built on the banks of the Tawi river will be Raj Ghat for Kashmiri Hindus.

This will tell the martyrdom of Kashmiri Pandits to the generations to come.

On the other hand, Trust member Rajiv Pandit said that Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir have been on the target of terrorists since the year 1990.

The names of the martyrs of the Vandhama, Sangram Pora, Chhatisinghpora, Nadimarg massacres will also be there.

Sushma Shalla, who was present on the occasion, told that her father was martyred in the terrorist attack in Kashmir in the year 1990. Father Chuni lal Shalla was a police officer.

She said that through this memorial the martyrdom of Kashmiri Pandits will be saved for the generations to come.

At the same time, big marble walls will be built under the dome built by Raj Kumar, in charge of the project. The names of Kashmiri Pandit martyrs will be written on these walls.
