Search for evidence intensified in Delhi Liquor Scam, after CBI, now ED’s entry, raids in many states including Punjab-UP.

The controversy over Delhi’s new excise policy does not seem to be stopping.

In the latest case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team is raiding the premises of several liquor traders in connection with the alleged liquor scam in Delhi.

According to the news agency, this raid is being conducted by ED at 30 more locations in Delhi-NCR and other states.

It includes several cities in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.

If CBI did not find anything, then ED was put behind it: Manish Sisodia.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has given his reaction to ED’s raid.

Attacking the central government, he said that if the CBI did not find any flaw in the excise policy of Delhi, then the ED has been put behind. ED will also get nothing in the raid.

Last month the CBI also raided.

It is noteworthy that earlier last month, the CBI team raided several places, including the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in connection with the alleged scam in Delhi’s excise policy.

During this, the CBI team had taken some important documents related to the excise policy and Manish Sisodia’s laptop.

Lt Governor had recommended a CBI inquiry.

Let us inform you that on July 22, 2022, Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena recommended a CBI inquiry into the Delhi government’s new Excise Policy 2021-22 for alleged violations of rules and procedural lapses.

The LG made this recommendation on the basis of a report submitted by the Chief Secretary to Raj Niwas on July 8, in which all these shortcomings were mentioned.

A copy of this report was also sent to the Chief Minister.

There is a ruckus over Delhi’s new excise policy. In fact, the Delhi government wanted to completely change the experience of buying liquor through the new excise policy.

In the new excise policy, hotels, bars, clubs, and restaurants were allowed to remain open till 3 pm.

In this, other places including the terrace were allowed to serve alcohol.

Let us tell you that before this, there was a ban on serving liquor in the open. Apart from this, any kind of entertainment can be arranged in the bar.
