The slain terrorists have been identified as Amir Bashir Dar alias Danish son Bashir Dar resident of Kuzer Yaripora and Adil Ahmed Shan son of Mohammad Yusuf, resident of Sursona Hatipora Kulgam.

After the killing of both the terrorists, the security forces launched a search operation and when it was confirmed that no other terrorists were present in the area, the security personnel left.

According to the information received from the police, at 10.40 pm on Wednesday, the police had received information about the hiding of two terrorists in the Redwani area of ​​Kulgam.

As soon as the information was received, the SOG personnel reached the area along with the army and CRPF team and started searching for the terrorists.

During the ongoing operation, the terrorists hiding in the area started firing on the security forces. Responding to the firing, the security forces surrounded the house where the terrorists were hiding.

Meanwhile, both the terrorists were given several opportunities to surrender, but every time the terrorists responded with their own bullets.

Due to darkness and the safety of the people living nearby, the security forces continued the encounter throughout the night.

In the morning once again the terrorists were asked to surrender, but when they refused to lay down arms this time too, the security forces killed both the terrorists using heavy weapons.

A day earlier, a terrorist was killed by the security forces in an encounter with terrorists in Pulwama. Security forces had carried out this entire encounter by laying siege in the Rajpura area of ​​Pulwama.

The slain terrorist was identified as Firoz Ahmed Dar, a terrorist associated with Hizbul Mujahideen.

The terrorist was a resident of Shopian. He was associated with the terrorist organization in 2017.

A total of three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district last week. The first terrorist was killed in an encounter in the Pulwama district.

After this two terrorists were killed. According to the police, three terrorists were killed in an encounter by security forces in Shopian district on Wednesday.

A police official said that the presence of terrorists was received in Chak-e-Cholan village of Shopian following which the security forces launched a search and cordon operation.

The official said that the terrorists opened fire on the security forces after which retaliatory fire was fired.
