Security forces should be alert to deal with drone attacks on Independence Day: Jammu Kashmir DGP.

Director-General of Police Dilbagh Singh has directed the police and all other security agencies to be alert about the warning of attacks by terrorists using drones around Independence Day.

He called for the strengthening of police posts and narcos along with the border areas and asked the personnel deployed on the border areas to be on alert round the clock to thwart all infiltration attempts along the International Border and the Line of Control.

Director-General of Police Dilbag Singh said this during a meeting with officers of all security agencies organized to take stock of the security arrangements in the Jammu division ahead of Independence Day.

Director-General of Police Dilbag Singh said that all the security agencies will have to work together to strengthen the security grade in the division.

Terrorists are not deterring from their nefarious intentions, but the security forces are thwarting their every nefarious act. Recently, terrorists have been caught with weapons and IEDs in Jammu.

The DGP asked the police officers to work out a strategy to tackle the menace of narco-terrorism.

He said that people involved in drug trafficking should be identified and appropriate action should be taken against them under the law.

Apart from this, he also asked to fully follow the guidelines issued from time to time to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

In the meeting, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh, IGP CRPF Padmakar, IG BSF NS Jamwal.

Army’s 16 Corps Brigadier Arvind Chauhan, Jammu Kathua Samba Range DIG Atul Goyal, Army’s 26 Infantry Division Colonel GS Vijay Dalal, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli was present.

Apart from this, several commandants of the Armored Battalion participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

While leaving, he said that there is a need to increase the number of Nakas on the highway. No force causing unrest in the state will be allowed to flourish.
