Seven people associated with Hizbul Mujahideen arrested from Shopian: Jammu and Kashmir.

Seven people associated with the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen have been arrested from Shopian district of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The police gave this information on Saturday. The police tweeted that the Shopian police arrested seven people working for the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen.

According to the police, objectionable material has been recovered from the arrested people. Police said that an FIR has been registered and the investigation is on.

Earlier, security forces also arrested a terrorist from a house in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized arms and ammunition from him.

Officials said that the Army, CRPF, SSB, and Jammu and Kashmir Police had conducted a joint raid and search operation in the village of Bhekrayan.

Terrorists got weapons.

Officials said that during the campaign, a terrorist named Firdaus Ahmed was arrested from the house of Ghulam Ahmad Natanu.

He said that three Chinese pistols, two magazines, 15 round cartridges, and a silencer were seized from there.

Two Jaish terrorists killed in an encounter on Thursday.

On Thursday, two Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district.

A police officer said that on receiving information about the presence of the terrorists, security forces laid siege and conducted a search operation in Kandipora of Bijbehara on Wednesday.

“They were given the chance to surrender when the presence of the terrorists was detected during the campaign,” the official said. But they opened fire on the security forces after which the encounter started.

“He said that the operation was stopped on Wednesday due to darkness but the siege was continued throughout the night.”

He said, “The terrorists hiding on Thursday morning were asked to surrender several times but the terrorists opened fire on the security forces after which two terrorists were killed in retaliation.”

The slain terrorists were identified as Adil Ahmed Bhat and Zahid Ahmed Rather. He was associated with the banned organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

The officer said that according to police records, the two terrorists were involved in several cases of terrorism including attacks on security forces, torture of civilians.

He said that several materials including weapons and cartridges have been recovered from the site of the encounter.
