Shopian Encounter: Al-Badr terrorists Omar, Zahid, Danish did not listen to Tausif, killed in the encounter.
Omar, Zahid, and Danish you obey me and surrender to the army like me. They have not done me any harm and promised that you will not harm me even if you surrender.
I request you to come out after putting down your arms. Tausif Ahmad, who joined Al-Badr only a few months ago, repeatedly appealed to his colleagues, but they did not agree.
Prior to Tausif, army officials also assured the three terrorists that if they lay down their arms, they would not be harmed but perhaps they were not as fortunate as Tausif.
As a result, after the encounter that lasted for about five hours, the three terrorists were stacked one by one by the army.

The police received strong information from the information systems that three to four local terrorists who had recently joined al-Badr are hiding in Imam Sahib locality of Kanigam area of Shopian district of South Kashmir.
On receipt of the information, the SOG of the police, along with 44 RR battalions and CRPF jawans of the army reached the area around 1.30 pm.
After the siege of Imam Sahib locality was completed, the security forces started searching for terrorists. As soon as the security personnel approached the terrorists, they opened fire.
In response, the army asked the four terrorists to surrender before starting the firing. The terrorists continued firing on this as well. On this, the army once again asked the four terrorists to leave arms, citing their relatives.
Tausif Ahmad changed his heart as soon as the family was mentioned and asked him to surrender to his companions. The three did not stop him.
On the appeal of the army, Tausif came out with his arms left there and surrendered to the army.
On this, the security forces applauded his move and also persuaded his other colleagues to lay down their arms. Tausif took the mic and asked his teammates to surrender again and again.
But they did not listen to him. In response, he launched a grenade attack on the army. No one was harmed in this attack.
Now the security forces were convinced that these three would not surrender. The three terrorists, Umar, Zahid, and Danish, were killed during an encounter that lasted for about five hours.
After his comrades were killed, Tausif told the army that perhaps his comrades were not as fortunate as him. He thanked the army, CRPF, and police for giving him the opportunity to surrender.
With this, he appealed to the local youths involved in terrorist organizations to leave the path of terrorism and join the mainstream. Nothing is kept in terrorism.
