Shopian IED Blast: Terrorists have done IED blast in Shopian, no damage, search operation continues.

Militants have detonated the IED in the Turkwangan area of the Shopian district of South Kashmir. There is no notice of any loss in this incident.

At present, the security forces have conducted a search operation by laying siege to the entire area. Confirming the IED blast, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that there was no loss of any kind in this attack.

Security forces suspect that terrorists who have planted IEDs are hiding in the vicinity. A joint search operation by police, army, and CRPF is on to search for them.

IGP Vijay Kumar said that he had already received information about the IED being planted by the terrorists in the Turkavangam area of the Shopian district.

On receiving the information, the security personnel reached there to find the IED.

Detecting the IED, as the army’s Casper vehicle approached the IED, the terrorists hiding nearby exploded it. The good thing is that there is no loss of any kind in this explosion.

IGP said that the Jammu and Kashmir Police are continuing the 44 RR operations of the Army. The area has been cordoned off. It is feared that the terrorists are hiding around. They are being searched .

IGP said that once again due to the vigilance of the police and the army, a major accident was postponed in time. If this explosion had happened while passing the army’s action, it would have caused a lot of damage.

Kashmir: Police arrested two sons of separatist leader Sahrai.

Jammu and Kashmir police arrested both sons of the late Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chief Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai on Saturday evening.

Sahrai died on May 5 in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu. He was under custody under PSA.

He was admitted to GMC Hospital for treatment after he developed a corona infection in Udhampur Jail, where he died during treatment.

According to information received from police sources, the two sons of Sahrai were arrested from their house in Bulbul Bagh Barjulla, Srinagar.

A police team from Kupwara raided Barjulla with the assistance of Srinagar Police and arrested Mujahid Sahrai and Rashid Sahrai. Took both of them to Kupwara.
