The accused Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, who is on police remand in the case of terrorist activities and attacking the PAC personnel deployed in the security of Gorakhnath temple.

He has been sent to judicial custody till May 13 by the court.

He was produced before the special court of NIA/ATS on Monday. On April 25, the special court had ordered to hand it over to the custody of the ATS for seven days.

On April 4, 2022, the FIR of this case was lodged by Vinay Kumar Mishra at the Gorakhnath police station.

According to which PAC jawan Anil Kumar Paswan, who was posted in the security of Gorakhnath temple, was seriously injured by the accused by suddenly attacked him with a banke.

He also tried to snatch his weapon.

His rifle fell on the road. Another jawan came to save them, then attacked him with a sharp weapon with the intention of killing him.

Other policemen present on the spot picked up the injured jawan and his rifle. During this, the accused ran towards the PAC post, waving his dandy and raising a religious slogan.

This caused panic among the people. His hand was hit by a big bamboo. Banka fell from his hand. He was then captured by using the necessary force.

Apart from other items, a religious book written in the Urdu language was also recovered from him.
