Srinagar Becomes The New Safe Haven For Terrorists

Srinagar becomes the new safe haven for terrorists, this year the security forces killed 15 terrorists in 21 encounters.

After the destruction of the terrorist network in South Kashmir, the terrorists, who were saving lives, have now started making Srinagar a new safe haven.

So far this year, more than 20 encounters have taken place in Srinagar. Police have also released a list of nine most-wanted terrorists operating in the Srinagar district.

In this, seven terrorists were from Srinagar and adjoining areas. This is the first time in two decades that Srinagar has the highest number of terrorists.

Whereas in August 2020, the police had declared Srinagar free of terrorism.

After the Jaish-e-Mohammed’s suicide attack on a CRPF convoy at Lethpora Pulwama on 14 August 2019, the biggest attack ever in the Valley took place on 13 December in Zewan, Srinagar, in which three policemen were martyred and 15 others were injured.

Last year only nine encounters took place in Srinagar in which 20 terrorists were killed. So far this year, security forces have killed 15 terrorists in 21 encounters in Srinagar.

There are also three foreigners among them. Seven policemen have been martyred in various terror attacks in Srinagar. Terrorists have killed 10 civilians.

A number of overground workers near 100: According to various security agencies, there are seven to eight terrorists operating in Srinagar and its adjoining areas, but the number of terrorists hiding in Srinagar is more than the active terrorists.

In Srinagar, the number of overground workers of hybrid terrorists and terrorists has reached near 100. Identifying them is proving to be a difficult task for the security agencies.

The situation can be gauged from the fact that in a few months in Srinagar, the security forces have had to put up new bunkers and new nakas at various places.

50 additional companies of central paramilitary forces have been called.

BSF has again started appearing in anti-terror operations from maintaining law and order in various areas.

The incident in Srinagar gets more publicity:

Former Inspector General of Police Ashkoor Wani, an expert in counter-terrorism operations, said that Srinagar has always been a target of terrorists.

Any terrorist incident in Srinagar gets a lot of publicity, maybe this is not the plot.

Apart from this, if you study terrorist violence in Kashmir, then it will be known that terrorists keep their activities focused in some areas from time to time.

When the security forces started cracking down on them in North Kashmir, the terrorists made South Kashmir the center of activities.

Now the remaining terrorists in South Kashmir have chosen Srinagar and adjoining areas to save their lives.

Thousands of vehicles and civilians come to Srinagar every day from every part of the valley, it is difficult to identify who is a terrorist and who is their helper.

Kashmir affairs expert Bilal Bashir said that the terrorist incident in Srinagar indicates that the whole of Kashmir is in terror.

The message goes to the people that if the terrorists are troubling in the capital city, then what will be the condition of others.

The attention of many new terrorist organizations towards Srinagar:

A former terrorist living a normal life said that after the year 2005-06 the terrorists were not getting any permanent hideout and new credible cadre in Srinagar.

Terrorists coming from other parts of the plaintiff used to carry out the crime in the city or else the active group in Harwan would occasionally come to the city to make their presence felt.

About five years ago Mehrajuddin became a terrorist by Bangura. After that, the situation in Srinagar changed.

Apart from this, the internet is the age of media and it has helped the terrorist gangsters to prepare the ground for themselves in Srinagar.

New terrorist organizations like TRF, PAFF, Kashmir Tigers have focused their entire attention on Srinagar.

The slain TRF commander Abbas Shaikh is claimed to have reportedly prepared two to three dozen hybrid terrorists in Srinagar.

Terrorist free strategy: A senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police said that while assessing the terrorist activities.

The strategy to make Srinagar terrorism free has been fully implemented and that is the reason that the infamous Lashkar terrorist Saifullah alias Abu Khalid in Harwan has been killed.
