STF Busted illegal Arms Factory In Malda, Two Arrested: WB

STF busted an illegal arms factory in Malda, two arrested: West Bengal. The Kolkata Police’s Special Task Force (STF) in along with Malda District Police has busted an illegal arms factory in the Kaliachak police station area.

Two people have been arrested from the spot. His names are stated to be Mohammad Azam (32) and Mohammad Farooq Alam (32). Both hail originally from Munger in Bihar and specializes in gun making.

Both are questioned and trying to find out about their other colleagues. Giving information about this, Deputy Commissioner of STF IPS Aparajita Roy said that on the information received from the informers on 23 January.

STF officers of Kolkata Police raided the arms factory along with policemen of Kaliachak police station and from there in large numbers Weapons seized.

Weapons have been seized including an improvised seven mm semi-automatic pistol, seven semi-improvised seven mm semi-automatic pistol, and a lathe machine.

Cases have been registered against the arrested people in the Arms Act along with other non-bailable sections. The owner of the house where the factory was running is absconding.

A raid campaign is being conducted in search of him. He is said to be associated with the ruling Trinamool Congress. The arms factory is sealed.

It is worth noting that earlier in Malda, many factories for producing illegal weapons have been busted and many arrests have been made.

It is learned that the ready-made weapons are supplied to the terrorist organizations of Bangladesh. These factories are also funded from Bangladesh.

According to sources, the police are investigating every aspect of the case. Some more major disclosures are expected in this matter soon.
