This morning, two terrorists were killed by security forces in two separate encounters in Hajin of Bandipora and the Verinag area of Anantnag.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, while confirming the killing of the terrorist killed in Bandipora, said that it was the same terrorist of The Resistance Front (TRF) who killed the sumo driver in Shahgund.
At present, the search operation of the security forces is still going on in the area.
A police official said that since the killings in Kashmir during the last five days, the police and other security personnel were engaged in the search for the terrorists involved in these killings.
Today, on receiving information about the presence of some terrorists in Bandipora, a joint team of SOG, Army, and CRPF reached the Hajin area of Bandipora and started searching for the terrorists.
As soon as the security personnel reached near the hideout of the terrorists, the terrorists hiding there started firing on them.

When the security forces identified the body after taking possession of it, it came to know that it was the same terrorist of TRF who had killed the sumo driver a few days ago.
The terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar. The operation of security forces is still going on in Gundjahangir Hajin of Bandipora.
There is a possibility of the presence of some more terrorists in the area.
While giving information about this on his official Twitter handler, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar wrote that “The slain terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar, who belonged to the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF).
He was involved in the recent civilian murder in Shahgund Bandipora.
Let us tell you that earlier on Sunday, four terrorist associates were arrested by the security forces from Bandipora itself, who were also involved in the murder of Shahgund Sumo’s driver.
The slain Imtiaz was his fifth accomplice, who escaped after the murder and joined militancy.
At the same time, security forces have also killed a terrorist in the Khagund Verinag area of Anantnag district of South Kashmir district at around 2.30 am.
However, a policeman was also injured in this encounter.
According to the information received from the police officer, on the basis of the information, the search operation started in Anantnag at midnight turned into an encounter around 1.30 in the morning.
The terrorist hiding in the area was given several opportunities to surrender by the security forces, but every time he answered the appeal of the security forces with his bullet.
During this, a policeman was also injured. The terrorist was killed in retaliatory firing. He has not been identified yet.
The injured policeman has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. A pistol, its magazine, and a grenade have been recovered from the slain terrorist.
