T20 World Cup 2021: Australia Will Face South Africa Today

T20 world cup 2021 Aus vs SA: Australia will face South Africa, who will prevail.

Australia will be hoping to get back to their top-order and do well when they begin their campaign against South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup on Saturday.

Both the teams, who have so far failed to become the T20 World Cup champions, would like to make a great start by winning this first match of Group I of the Super-12 round to fulfill their dream.

However, there are more concerns for Australia, which has been beaten by Bangladesh, West Indies, New Zealand, India, and England in bilateral series before arriving here.

During this, Australia could get only five victories and lost in 13. In most matches, however, the team did not include many key players.

The biggest worry for the team is the poor rhythm of explosive batsman David Warner.

The opener was dropped from the team after scoring zero and two runs in the first two matches of the second phase of the IPL.

In practice matches too, he scored zero and one run in two matches. Captain Aaron Finch, who is returning from knee surgery, also lacks match practice.

Vice-captain Pat Cummins hasn’t played a cricket match since the first leg of the IPL in April. The struggle against spin bowling is also a cause of concern for the team.

The strength of the team is the middle order being in a great rhythm. Along with Steve Smith, all-rounders Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh can turn any match on their own.

Maxwell is in the best shape of his career. Australia has excellent bowling, due to which the captain and coach will have to give a lot of thought to the team selection.

Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa will play a key role in spin-friendly UAE pitches.

Fast bowlers like Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, and Josh Hazlewood have the power to shake up any batting order.

On the other hand, South Africa has reached here after defeating defending champions West Indies, Ireland, and Sri Lanka in the bilateral series.

The team also won both its practice matches. South Africa’s team, however, does not have the same big players as the previous teams, so the chances of winning the tournament are slim.

In such a situation, the players will play without pressure. South Africa has many openers in the top order and when they do not perform it becomes difficult for them.

The lack of players playing big shots in the middle order and last overs is a matter of concern for them. Power hitter David Miller’s form is a matter of great concern.

South Africa has a scintillating bowling attack, with Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Enrique Nortje leading the pace.

While the world-ranked number one Tabrez Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj will take the lead in the spin department.
