Tamil Nadu CM introduces a resolution in the state assembly. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin introduces a resolution in the assembly against three agricultural laws.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday introduced a resolution in the state assembly opposing three controversial agriculture laws of the central government, which was passed by voice vote.

With this, Tamil Nadu has become the seventh state to oppose agricultural laws after Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Kerala, and West Bengal.

Ever since three agricultural laws were enacted by the Centre, Stalin’s Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has been demanding that the Center withdraw those laws.

The Chief Minister has said that these laws are against the interests of the farmers. The leading news agency reported.

“The government has taken a clear decision to pass a resolution demanding the withdrawal of these three agricultural laws that hurt the sentiments of farmers across the country,” Stalin said in June.

Tamil Nadu CM introduces a resolution: In May, Stalin said the government would bring a resolution in the assembly asking the Center to withdraw three agricultural laws.

He recalled one of the promises made in the DMK’s assembly election manifesto, which asked the central government on Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act.

Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, and Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act. (Empowerment and Protection) promised efforts to scrap the agreement.

Stalin said, ‘The central government should accept the demands of the protesting farmers and repeal these three agricultural laws.

Tamil Nadu CM introduces a resolution in the state assembly: I assure you that DMK’s promises to repeal agricultural laws will be fulfilled.

He said that the central government neither respected the sentiments of farmers and repealed three agricultural laws nor took steps to negotiate with them to find a solution to the issue.
