Terrorists shot dead a Sarpanch in Kulgam, South Kashmir. Meanwhile, terrorists attacked the police station in Avantipore with a grenade, but the police have not confirmed the grenade attack.

However, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in various parts of Kulgam and Awantipore to nab the terrorists involved in these incidents, which is continuing even today.

According to the information received here, terrorists shot Mohammad Yusuf Dar alias Sarpanch after sunset in Kulpora Sandru area of ​​Kulgam district late last Wednesday evening.

Mohammad Yusuf Dar fell on the ground as soon as the bullet was fired and the terrorists fled from there thinking him to be dead.

After the terrorists left, the people present there took the injured Mohammad Yusuf Dar to the district hospital with the help of policemen. The doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

Dr. Muzaffar Zargar, Medical Superintendent of the hospital said that Mohammad Yusuf Dar had bullet injuries in the chest.

Meanwhile, the concerned police officials said that the deceased was an independent panch and he was targeted by the terrorists at a distance of his house.

Some people present on the spot at the time of the incident have been questioned about the terrorists.

Terrorist attack in Kulgam: Based on the clues received from people, searches are being conducted in Kollpora and its adjoining areas to nab the terrorists.

Meanwhile, terrorists hurled a grenade at the police station at Awantipora in district Pulwama. The grenade fell on the open space inside the police station and exploded with a loud bang.

There was no damage in this attack. Although the police did not confirm the grenade attack.

According to local sources, soon after the attack, police and CRPF personnel also launched a search operation to nab the terrorists who were cordoning off the entire area.
