Terrorist Zafar Arrested From Reasi In Anticipation Of An Attack

Terrorist Zafar arrested from Reasi in anticipation of an attack, and arms and ammunition were recovered.

The timely action of the Reasi police has averted the plan of a major terrorist attack. The Reasi police arrested the terrorist Zafar, who was planning the targeted killing, before the attack.

Not only this but a large number of arms and ammunition were also recovered from his possession.

Police sources say that terrorist Zafar is being interrogated and on the basis of this many more arrests can also be made.

He is also being questioned about other terrorist associates operating in Reasi.

SSP Reasi Gupta said that he got information from reliable sources that Zafar Iqbal’s son, who lives in Bal Angrala village of Tehsil Mahor, is in direct contact with the masters of terrorist organizations sitting in Pakistan.

When an investigation was done on the basis of the information, it was found that Zafar’s brother Mohammad Ishaq was an active LeT terrorist, who was killed by the security forces in Rajouri.

His other relative Abdul Rashid’s son Khushi Mohammad resident of Lad, Tehsil Mahor, District Reasi is also a terrorist and at present, he is in Pakistan.

Through the same, he is associated with terrorist organizations.

What was just then, as soon as the concrete evidence was found, the Reasi police teams launched a search operation to arrest Zafar and arrested him from Plasu Nala.

He was interrogated continuously, after which he confessed that he worked for terrorists.

Not only this but he was also entrusted with the responsibility of carrying out terrorist attacks very soon from the masters sitting in Pakistan.

When the police asked him where he had hidden the weapons to carry out the attack, he told that he had made a hideout in the forests of Angrala.

As soon as the information was received, the Reasi police, along with teams of 58 RR of Army and 126 Bn of CRPF, reached the forests of Angrala and started searching for weapons.

During this search operation, he found a terrorist hideout in the middle of the forest.

On search, they recovered two pistols (Glock) out of which one was damaged, four magazines out of which two were defective, 221 rounds of 9 mm, and one Chinese grenade.

Not only this, but after interrogation, the police also recovered currency worth Rs 181,000, which was used to carry out terrorist activities.

SSP Reasi Amit Gupta said that a case has been registered against Zafar. He said that Zafar was in direct contact with terrorist organizations and his arrest averted a major terror attack.

The SSP also informed on the basis of interrogation that terrorist organizations are making continuous efforts to revive terrorism in the upper areas of district Reasi.

Zafar was also entrusted with the task of mobilizing people like him.
