Terrorists arrested from Bengaluru have a connection with Lashkar-e-Taiba, accused of 2008 serial blasts prepared.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Wednesday arrested five suspected terrorists from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka.
These suspects had planned to carry out terror attacks in the city of Bengaluru. The CCB has recovered a large quantity of explosive material and other objectionable items from them.
Arrested terrorists have links with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
There have been many revelations in this matter. The connection of these suspected terrorists has come out from Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand said that these terrorists have been prepared by T Nazir and T Nazir is associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Who is terrorist T Nazir?
Let us tell you that T Nazir is an accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts and is currently lodged in Bangalore Central Jail.
Police said that T Nazir has radicalized these suspects. All these suspects were jailed in a murder case during which T had come in contact with Nazir, he said.
The hunt for the mastermind continues.
The CCB arrested these five from Kanakanagar in the Sultanpalya area of Bengaluru.
The five have been identified as Syed Suhail, Umar, Janid, Mudasir, and Zahid. At the same time, the police are looking for its mastermind, who may be sitting abroad.
It was told that Junaid, a suspected terrorist sitting abroad, is providing all of them with arms and other equipment. The police are looking for it.
Police said that the age of the arrested terrorists is between 25 to 35 years.
Weapons and other items were recovered in large quantities.
They also had guns and daggers. Four walkie-talkies, seven country-made pistols, 42 live bullets, two daggers, two satellite phones, and four grenades have been seized from them.
The senior police officer said that the Bengaluru Police is coordinating with central agencies to trace Junaid.
