Terrorists killed BJP worker in Kulgam, security forces launch search operation: Jammu Kashmir.
Terrorists opened fire on a BJP worker in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir, seriously injuring him. The BJP leader, who was under treatment in a critical condition in the hospital, died shortly after.
The BJP leader has been identified as Javed Ahmed Dar son of Abdullah Dar resident of Barajaloo district Kulgam.
After this incident, the security forces and the police have launched a joint search operation to nab the terrorists. Other details are awaited.
Meanwhile, BJP Media Cell Kashmir in-charge Manzoor Ahmed tweeted that BJP strongly condemns the killing of Kulgam constituency in-charge Javed Ahmed Dar by terrorists.
According to the information, the terrorists suddenly opened fire in Barajlu Bazar of Kulgam district today i.e. on Tuesday evening.
Two civilians were injured in this firing. One of them has been identified as BJP worker Javed Ahmed. Javed succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.
Javed was in charge of BJP from the Kulgam constituency. In the last week, the terrorists have started targeting political leaders and workers by changing their strategy.
Last week, terrorists broke into the house of BJP leader Ghulam Rasool and his wife in Anantnag district and killed him.
While a few days later, terrorists attacked BJP leader Jasbir Singh’s house in Rajouri district with a grenade. In these, for two years Veer Singh was martyred while five others were injured.
Significantly, during Independence Day, the terrorists were trying to promote terrorist activities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The state police and security forces were well aware of this nefarious act of the terrorists. This is the reason why tight security arrangements were made in the state during Independence Day.
However, there is still a high alert in the entire state and full vigilance is being taken.
Condemning the incident in strong words, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the killers will be punished severely.
He has also expressed his condolences to the family members of the departed soul while praying for peace.
Terming the killing of Javed Ahmed Dar as a cowardly heinous act, state BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said that terrorists and Pakistani agents are now attacking unarmed and innocent people in complete desperation.
He said that the BJP is not going to panic due to these attacks by terrorists. All BJP workers will make the mission of peace in Kashmir successful even by giving their lives.
Former Chief Minister and National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah condemned the killing of Javed Ahmed Dar and said that shocking news has been received from Kulgam.
Javed Ahmed has been brutally murdered. I strongly condemn this terrorist incident and express my condolences to the family members of Javed.
May God grant Javed a place in heaven. Such incidents create obstacles in the way of the restoration of peace in Kashmir. Everyone should condemn these incidents in the strongest terms.
