The era of tribal militancy is over, TLA, and UGPO organizations surrender in Assam.

Two militant organizations (TLA and UGPO) formally surrendered and laid down arms in Assam today. With this, every tribal group has joined the mainstream.

These were the last militant groups in the jungle. Now the era of tribal insurgency in Assam is finally over. State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said this by tweeting on Thursday.

The era of tribal militancy is over: Assam CM’s convoy was reduced in Guwahati.

On the other hand, the Assam cabinet has reduced the cars included in the CM’s convoy on Thursday.

It has been decided to reduce the number of cars in the Chief Minister’s convoy to six while traveling within the Guwahati Metropolitan Region.

The Chief Minister’s convoy will consist of 12 cars excluding escort and pilot cars while traveling in other areas or districts.

The traffic during the Chief Minister’s road journey shall not be pre-obstructed and, if necessary, may be stopped for a period not exceeding two minutes.

Among other important decisions, it was decided that the movement of ambulances would be given priority over the convoy of the Chief Minister’s vehicle and it would not be stopped.

It has also been decided to celebrate District Day by all the districts with the participation of local people on the date of notification of district creation.

Regarding CM’s convoy, Assam CM tweeted that in order to eliminate public inconvenience.

We in Assam Cabinet have decided to reduce the size of CM’s convoy and not stop traffic for a long time during CM’s visit.

AFSPA can be removed from Nagaland soon, Neiphiu Rio said- Center is considering our demand.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has indicated that AFSPA may be removed from the state.

According to the news agency, in one of his statements, the Chief Minister said that the Center is considering this.

Addressing the Republic Day celebrations, CM Rio said that the SIT set up to investigate the civilians killed in the firing by the security forces have done a good job.

During this, he told that the government is making every effort to provide relief to the families of the victims.
