The Number Of Terrorists In Kashmir Is Less Than 200: IG Kashmir

The number of terrorists in Kashmir is less than 200 for the first time, now terrorists are misleading minors: IG Kashmir.

After the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the backbone of terrorist violence has almost broken.

For the first time, the number of terrorists in Kashmir has come down to below 200 and there are only 83 local terrorists.

Seeing the youth not picking up guns, terrorist organizations have now started a conspiracy to hand over guns by misleading the minors.

This was accepted by Army’s 15th Corps Commander Lt Gen DP Pandey and Kashmir’s IGP Vijay Kumar.

Both army and police officials said that despite the situation on the Line of Control being calm, there is a possibility of large-scale infiltration of terrorists in winter.

Also, there is a danger of any major incident or major IED attack by Jaish in the interior areas of Kashmir.

Lieutenant General Pandey and IGP Vijay Kumar reached the Army’s 2-RR Sector Headquarters at Wujar on Thursday to boost the morale of the security forces.

Two days ago, six terrorists were killed in two encounters in Anantnag and Kulgam in South Kashmir.

The IGP said that the cooperation of the people in the anti-terrorist operation of the security forces is clearly visible.

In December itself, 24 terrorists have been killed so far. In the last five days, 11 terrorists have been killed. He said that this is the first time that less than 200 terrorists are active in Kashmir.

The number of local terrorists has also come down to about 86, this has also happened for the first time.

However, according to some experts, in 2005-06 and 2010 to 2012 also this number was close to 150.

Out of 128 terrorists who became terrorists this year, only 39 survived: IGP said that in the current year, 73 were killed and 17 were caught out of 128 terrorists.

Of these, only 39 are active. Terrorists are no longer getting a new cadre as before. The security forces have eliminated all the main terrorists of Jaish.

More encounters do not mean an increase in terrorist violence:

IGP said that more encounters do not mean an increase in terrorist violence. This means that the security forces are more proactive and information is being received against terrorists.

Pakistan is conspiring to worsen the situation.

Two M-4 carbine rifles, 15 assault rifles, more than two dozen pistols, and a huge cache of grenades have been recovered from 24 terrorists, including five Pakistanis, who were killed this month.
