The Stock Market, Forex, And Bullion Market Closed Today

The stock market, forex, and bullion market will be closed today on the occasion of Christmas, there will be no work.

Today, the stock market, forex, and bullion markets will be closed on the occasion of Christmas. There will be no shopping on the market today on Friday.

Global markets including Asia, Europe, and Wall Street will also remain closed on Friday due to Christmas. On Thursday, the domestic stock market closed with a lead for the third consecutive session.

Stocks of companies in the banking, finance, and pharma sectors were sold yesterday. The BSE 30-share index closed with a gain of 529.36 points, or 1.14%, at the level of 46,973.54 points.

Similarly, NSE Nifty closed at the level of 13,749.25 points with a rise of 148.15 points i.e. 1.09 percent. Most of the sectoral indices closed with green marks. However, there was a sell-off in the shares of IT companies.

The stock market gained on Thursday. Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened 254.11 points at 46698.29 level. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty opened 71.60 points at 13672.70.

On Thursday, the rupee rose 14 paise to 73.62 per dollar in early trade against the US dollar due to a strong opening in the domestic stock markets and continued foreign exchange flows.

The gap between the flow of investment by foreign institutional investors and the uptrend in the domestic stock market on Thursday rose 21 paise to close at 73.76 55 against the US dollar.

The rupee gained 21 paise to end at 73.55 per dollar.

The exchange rate of the rupee opened at 73.66 per dollar against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market. During the day, it kept moving between 73.54- 73.66.

Finally, the rupee gained 21 paise to close at 73.55 per dollar. The market closed at Rs 73.76 per dollar on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the dollar index, showing the position of the dollar against the six major currencies of the world, fell 0.20 percent to close at 90.23.

The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex closed at 46,973.54, showing a gain of 529.36 points. Meanwhile, in the global market, Brent crude oil fell by 0.35 percent to USD 51.02 per barrel.

Gold rises by Rs 385, silver rises by Rs 1,102

On Thursday, gold rose by Rs 385 to Rs 49,624 per ten grams in the bullion market.

Earlier on Wednesday, gold had closed at Rs 49,239 per ten grams. Silver also rose by Rs 1,102 to Rs 66,954 per kg. The previous day it had closed at Rs 65,852 per kg.
