Threats to hijack aircraft from Bhopal and Indore, one in custody, increased security of both airports.

On Tuesday, a call was received from the Airport Terminal Manager at Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal that the plane would be hijacked from Bhopal and Indore airports. Stop me if you can.

This threatening call came to the airport terminal manager Dharmaraj Verma at around 5 pm on Tuesday.

He immediately informed the airport security in-charge Mansingh and the police of Gandhinagar police station.

After getting the call, the flight from Mumbai to Bhopal was yet to come. Therefore, the bomb and dog squad were also alerted.

In view of the seriousness of the matter, extra vigilance has been asked while landing and takeoff of the aircraft.

According to local media, when the police traced the mobile number, it turned out to be of Ujjwal Jain, a resident of Shujalpur. He switched off the mobile after calling.

According to the police, the youth lived in Bhopal earlier and his mother is a teacher there. A case is also registered against the youth while living in Bhopal. The youth has not accepted the call for interrogation.

The CISF has beefed up security at the airport after receiving a threatening message. Bomb and dog squad have been alerted. The members associated with it inspected the airport.

According to CISF Deputy Commandant Mansingh, security has been tightened in view of the seriousness of the matter. Instructions have been given to take extra safety during landing and takeoff.
