Tokyo Paralympics: Eighth medal in India’s bag, shooter Singhraj Adhana won a bronze medal.

Indian players continue their stellar performance in Tokyo Paralympics. India has eight medals to its name. Shooter Sinhraj Adhana has won a bronze medal in the men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 final.

Chao Yang of China set a Paralympic record with a score of 237.9 and won the gold, while another Chinese, Jing Huang, won the silver with a score of 237.5 and Sinhraj won the bronze with a score of 216.8.

Let us tell you that in the current Paralympics, the country has got the second medal in shooting. Earlier on Monday, 19-year-old Avani Lekhara had won the gold medal.

Singharaj Adana got off to a good start in the final. He finished in the top 3 scorings 99.6 in the first 10 shots.

Another Indian qualification topper Manish Narwal had a poor start in the final. He scored 97.2 in the first leg and was eliminated in the second leg.

Manish Narwal stood first in the qualification round.

Earlier in the day, Manish and Singhraj qualified for the medal round in the men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 event at the Aska Shooting Range here on Tuesday.

Manish Narwal stood first in the qualification round by securing 575 marks. Singharaj finished sixth with 569 points.

In a tweet, the PM said that he has worked hard and achieved remarkable successes. Congratulations to him and best wishes for his further endeavors.

Monday was a historic day for India in the Tokyo Paralympics. Women shooter Avani Lekhara won India’s first gold in the competition.

She became the first Indian woman to win gold in the Paralympics. Javelin thrower Sumit Antil won the gold medal, setting a new world record.

In another javelin throw event, Devendra Jhajharia took silver and Sundar Singh Gurjar took bronze. Yogesh Kathunia also managed to win a silver medal in the discus throw.

On Sunday, para-athlete Nishad Kumar won the silver medal in the high jump T-47 category and para table tennis player Bhavina Patel.
