TRS Won Easily In Mayor And Deputy Mayor GHMC Elections

TRS won easily in Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections: GHMC Mayor Election 2021.

The Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) easily won the election for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

He is the largest party in the state, so the possibility of his candidates winning both the posts was already strong. Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM supported the TRS candidates.

TMC corporator Vijayalakshmi R Gadwal from Banjara Hills was elected Mayor of Hyderabad. He defeated corporator Radha Reddy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate RK Puram.

Please tell that Vijayalakshmi TRS General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member K.K. Keshav is the daughter of Rao.

TRS Corporator M Srilatha Reddy from Taranaki was elected Deputy Mayor by defeating Shankar Yadav of BJP. After the election results came, Asududdin Owaisi said congratulations to the newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor of GHMC.

It is hoped that under TRS  leadership, Hyderabad will reach new heights and active attention will be paid to public works in those areas which need them most, including the old city of Hyderabad.

I expect GHMC to carry out its functions with honesty and financial ownership. Thank you, TRS for offering us the post of Deputy Mayor.

In the corporation elections held in December last year, the Telangana National Committee (TRS) won 56 seats in the 150-seat GHMC. At the same time, BJP got 48 seats and AIMIM got 44 seats and Congress got two seats.

Due to the death of a member of the BJP, its number of seats increased to 47. The GHMC elections were held on 1 December while the results were announced on 4 December.

The BJP alleged that it was trying to win the election for the post of the mayor by signing a deal behind the scenes with TRS and AIMIM.
