Two Jaish Modules Were Demolished In Anantnag

Two Jaish modules were demolished in Anantnag, 11 members were arrested.

Police busted two terrorist modules of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Anantnag on Tuesday. 11 members of this module have been arrested.

Incriminating material including arms and ammunition have been recovered from their possession. It also includes two pistols made in China.

Police had received information that terrorists of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed have hatched a conspiracy to attack police and special security forces in Srigufwara and Bijbihara areas of Anantnag.

After this, the police put up nakas at various places. Meanwhile, during the investigation at the Srigufwara crossing, when a bike rider was stopped, he tried to run away.

On this, the police chased and caught him. These include Abbas Ahmed Khan, Abdul Rashid Gaugujri, and Hidayatullah, a resident of Pahalgam.

Two Chinese-made pistols were recovered along with ammunition from them. He told that he works with Jaish-e-Mohammed and is in direct contact with handlers sitting in Pakistan.

At his behest, all three of them were going to attack the police in the Srigufwara area. In the interrogation of these three, the names of two more of his associates were told.

These include Shakir Ahmed and Musharraf Amin Shah resident of Katsu Srigufwara. Police arrested them too. Incriminating material including arms, ammunition have also been recovered from them.

Similarly, Anantnag police arrested six members of Bijbihara Jaish-e-Mohammed.

These include Fayaz Khan resident of Lever Pahalgam, Muntazir Rashid resident of Pahalgam, Mohammad Arif Khan resident of Mandar Gund Sakhra.

Adil Tare resident of Hatigam, Zahid Ahmed Najar resident of Lever Pahalgam. The sixth member caught here is a juvenile. Therefore his identity has been kept secret.

Landmine blast near LoC in Poonch, one civilian injured.

A landmine blast has occurred near the LoC in the Poonch district. There is news of a civilian being injured in this.

At present, the injured civilian has been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. Other details are awaited.

According to the information, today i.e. at 3.30 pm Mohammad Yasir son Lal Din resident of village Noorkot Mohalla Puthi was injured due to a sudden landmine explosion.

His left leg was injured in the blast. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, where his treatment is going on.
