Two More Arrested For Killing Bajrang Dal Worker In Shimoga

Two more arrested for killing Bajrang Dal worker, curfew till 25 in Shimoga.

Two more accused have been arrested in connection with the murder of Bajrang Dal worker Harsh in Karnataka. So far eight accused have been arrested in this case.

In view of the tense situation, the curfew in Shimoga has been extended till February 25.

State Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said on Wednesday that an inquiry has been ordered into the role of policemen deployed at Kot and Dodapet police stations in Shimoga city during the last five years.

He said that the eight accused arrested in Harsh’s murder have a criminal history and all of them are residents of Shimoga.

In such a situation, it will be seen what action the policemen posted in these two police stations took against these accused. He said that strict action would be taken against the irresponsible policemen.

Gyanendra of Shimoga said that some people are also being interrogated in this matter.

He has written a letter to the DGP asking him to inquire into the reasons for the rise of anti-social elements in Shimoga and take action against the policemen responsible for it.

To a question whether Harsh was killed because of following Hindutva ideology, Gyanendra said the matter was being probed from all angles. This case has not been treated as simple murder.

On the question of a ban on the Popular Front of India, Social Democratic Party of India, and Campus Front of India, he said that the role of these organizations in this matter is also being probed.

A decision will be taken only after investigation.

Signs of murder because of Hindutva ideology.

According to the news agency, police sources said that till now the investigation has indicated that Harsh was killed because of following Hindutva ideology.

Some such material has also been found, due to which the strings of this murder are seen to be connected with PFI, SDPI.

According to sources, after the murder of Harsh, information is also being received on the internet media about some people expressing happiness.

In 2015, a Facebook account named ‘Mangaluru Muslim’ was shown tauntingly against Harsh.

Help from all sides to Harsh’s family.

Harsh was the only boy in his family. He is survived by two sisters and parents. His family is getting financial help from every section of society.

So far, the help of Rs 16 lakh has been received, although the family has not sought financial help.

BJP Yuva Morcha President Tejashwi Surya also met Harsh’s family members and urged the government to take the matter as a terrorist retreat.

He said that our government will ensure capital punishment to the killers.

Decision on second agency after police investigation: Bommai.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said that a decision on handing over the case to any other agency would be taken on the basis of the results of the police investigation.

On the demand of a section of the BJP to hand over the murder probe to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

He said that along with the investigation, establishing peace and harmony in Shimoga is the priority of his government.
