Two terrorists killed in Budgam in an encounter with security forces. In Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have killed two terrorists.

The sound of gunfire echoed on Tuesday at Machuwa in Budgam district when security forces launched a search operation to apprehend the terrorists hiding there.

In the late-night encounter, the security forces surrounded two Jaish-e-Mohammed militants, who have been killed. Police have given information about this.

Security forces from the houses located in the vicinity of the terror hideout transported about two dozen people to safe places only amid the firing of the terrorists.

The police, along with the army and CRPF personnel, conducted a search operation in the evening as soon as the terrorists were sighted in Machuwa, about 12 km from Lal Chowk.

While searching the soldiers, when Aribagh entered the Magre locality, the terrorists hiding in a house saw them.

The militants threw a grenade first and then fired to break the siege of the soldiers. The soldiers, while defending themselves, fired back and thwarted the terrorists’ escape.

With this, the encounter started. Officials said the terrorists were hiding in a house. He was repeatedly asked to surrender but kept firing. Around two dozen people were evacuated from the houses around the tank’s hideout.

In order to not let the terrorists escape in the darkness of the night, sieges from all over were also provided with lights.

The exact number of terrorists was not known, but the terrorists could be two to three in view of the firing. The terrorists may be related to Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police organized Run for Unity in Rajouri district as part of programs to develop a sense of unity, convey a message of peace in the region, and honor police martyrs. Hundreds of police and paramilitary forces and local people took part in it.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rajouri Liaquat Ali flagged off the race along with Additional SP Naushara Girdhari Lal Sharma from District Police Lines Rajouri.

Other police officers included DSP Vinod Kumar, DSP Zaheer Abbas, DSP Imtiaz Ahmed.
