In this phase, work is being done to evacuate Ukrainian nationals from Maripol and Ezovstal.

He said that we have so far evacuated about 500 civilians present in the complex. For this, he has also thanked the United Nations, which has made it easy.

Let us inform you that the talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and UN Chief Antonio Guterres were central to the safe evacuation of civilians trapped in Maripol.

During this conversation, the UN chief also expressed concern over the situation in Ukraine and appealed to Russia to stop the war.

During his special visit, Guterres also went to Moscow, and there he spoke to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. During this, he raised the issue of the safe return of citizens of Ukraine to Maripol.

He demanded that all the citizens trapped there should be given a safe corridor so that they can come out. Only then was this possible.

However, Russia later made it clear that this facility would be given only to citizens.

During the visit of the UN chief to Moscow, Russia also admitted that it has carried out attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.

Let us tell you that last week, the UN Secretary-General went on a visit to Kyiv. Let us tell you that Russia launched an attack on Ukraine on 24 February.

Since then, Russia has done a lot of damage to Ukraine. Russia has named this operation a special military operation.

Russia says that this war will continue until it ends Ukraine’s military power. It was during Guterres’s visit to Moscow that Lavrov ruled out the possibility of a ceasefire.

He said that coming at this juncture is not possible. He even said that Russia aims to establish a land corridor to Crimea by occupying southern Ukraine.
